Maybole Regeneration Project
This project was a direct outcome of the earlier Maybole Community Charette project. The center of Maybole is designated an area of outstanding conservation and contains a high proportion of grade C & B listed buildings in addition to the grade A listed Maybole Castle, Carnegie library and grade B listed town hall. A new town bypass was the catalyist for pursuing funding for the regeneration project through a variety of funders including: Historic Environment Scotland, Heritage Lottery Funding and Scottish Government funding.
Studio 42 were one of the key consultants carrying out initial stage 1 feasibility design work on a number of projects: The Speakers Refurbishment Maybole Charity shop Maybole Town Hall Townscape proposals
The project stage 1 bid was successful and the project speculatively attracted £7m in funding and progressed into a stage 2 development phase. Studio 42 design are working on a number of projects within the proposed scheme providing architecture services to RIBA stage 3, in addition to providing strategic project design support to Carrick Community Council and the South Ayrshire Council.
